Indications

Amoxil Suspension is an antibiotic medication used to treat bacterial infections including tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, and infections of your ear, nose, throat, skin, or urinary tract. This medication can also be used with clarithromycin and/or a stomach acid reducer to treat stomach ulcers.

Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that inhibits aspects of bacterial cells to stop their growth and prevent their spread. This bactericidal action allows Amoxil to treat a variety of infections caused by bacteria including tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia.

The dose of Amoxil suspension that is prescribed will vary depending on the individual and type of infection being treated. Follow all your healthcare provider’s instructions for use and read packaging labels carefully to ensure the best results during treatment. • Use the provided dosing syringe or a dose-measuring device to measure your Amoxil dose

  • If you are prescribed Amoxil with clarithromycin and/or lansoprazole to treat stomach ulcers, follow your healthcare provider’s instructions for use of each
  • Continue taking Amoxil for the entire length of time prescribed even if you feel well
  • Store at room temperature away from children or pets
  • You may also store Amoxil in your refrigerator but make sure that the liquid does not freeze
