Elidel is a prescription medication used to treat mild to moderate eczema (atopic dermatitis), a common skin condition that causes dry, itchy, and inflamed skin. Its active ingredient is pimecrolimus, which belongs to a class of drugs called calcineurin inhibitors.

Elidel is a steroid-free cream that works by decreasing the body’s immune response to reduce inflammation in the skin.
