If you have: had a history of heart attack, stroke, or blood clot; heart disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension; a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding; liver or kidney disease, asthma; polyps in your nose; a bleeding or blood clotting disorder; or if you smoke, as you may need to adjust your treatment plan or re-evaluate whether Lodine is right for you. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor before taking Lodine, because this medication may harm an unborn baby.

Drinking alcohol while taking this medication is not recommended, as it can increase the risk of side effects like stomach bleeding.
