Macrobid Description

Macrobid is a prescription medication that is used to treat acute uncomplicated UTI or urinary tract infections caused by strains of E. coli or Staphylococcus saprophyticus. This is not indicated to manage pyelonephritis and perinephric abscesses. This drug has the generic name nitrofurantoin and is classified as an antibiotic.
