Indications

Motrin Children’s grape is a liquid oral medication used to relieve pain and fevers caused by common colds, sore throats, earaches, headaches, toothaches, immunizations, body aches, sprains, or strains.

Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits the production of certain chemicals in your body that cause inflammation. This not only helps reduce swelling but also pain and fevers. Motrin Children’s grape suspension is formulated for use in children to provide fast relief from fevers and pain.

Dosage and Administration

The dose of Motrin Children’s that is prescribed will vary depending on the individual and condition being treated. Follow all packaging instructions and any directions given by your healthcare provider. Do not take more than recommended.

  • Shake suspension bottle well before administering each dose
  • Measure the dose carefully using a special measuring device or spoon
  • Take with food, milk, or an antacid if it causes stomach upset
  • Motrin Children’s doses are determined by age or by weight
  • Children aged 2-3 should take 5ml in a single dose
  • Children aged 4-5 should take 7.5ml

Cautions

  • Motrin Childrens can increase your risk of developing a fatal heart attack or stroke. Do not take this medicine right before or after heart bypass surgery.
  • Motrin Childrens may lead to stomach or intestinal bleeding, especially if taken at too high of doses or too often.
  • Before taking Motrin Children’s grape suspension, tell your healthcare provider if you have ever had any of the following conditions:
    • Heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol
    • Diabetes
