Use and Dosage

The recommended starting dose of Nootropil (piracetam) is usually 7.2 g per day, divided into 2 or 3 doses, for the treatment of myoclonus of cortical origin, according to the Summary of Product Characteristics.

The dose may be increased by 4.8 g every 3 to 4 days, up to a maximum of 24 g per day. However, for cognitive enhancement and treatment of disorders of higher mental functions, the optimal dose has not been established. Studies suggest a range of 2.4-4.8 g per day divided into 2 or 3 doses.

In addition, the standard piracetam dose for children is between 40-100 mg per kilogram of body weight.

Recommended to consult with a healthcare provider to determine the appropriate dose based on the specific condition being treated.
