Salagen is a medication used to treat dry mouth caused by Sjogren’s syndrome or radiation treatment for head and neck cancer.

Pilocarpine is a cholinergic agonist that stimulates exocrine glands to produce saliva and smooth muscles in your gastrointestinal and respiratory system. These actions help Salagen promote an increase of saliva to combat dry mouth caused by various conditions and treatments.
