  • For topical use only
  • Wash affected skin area and pat dry before applying
  • Most patients apply twice daily, once in the morning and evening
  • Administer a thin layer of Silkis ointment and gently rub it into your skin
  • Apply only to affected skin areas
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after use unless you are treating your hands
  • Do not apply Silkis ointment to your face

Cautions

  • Silkis ointment is for topical use only, do not ingest the ointment or administer it to your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina. If contact occurs in any of these areas, rinse immediately with water.
  • Before using Silkis ointment, tell your healthcare provider if you have ever had any of the following conditions:
    • High or low calcium levels in your blood
    • Calcium disorder or metabolic imbalance
    • If you are receiving UV light treatments for psoriasis
    • Kidney or liver issues
  • Consult your healthcare provider about using Silkis ointment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Some other drugs may interact with Silkis ointment and cause adverse reactions. Tell your healthcare provider about all the medications that you take, including over the counter medicines and vitamins, but especially any of the following:
    • Other products containing vitamin D
    • Drugs that increase calcium levels such as thiazide or calcium supplements
