Indications

Asacol HD is used to treat moderately active ulcerative colitis (UC) in adults.

The dose of Asacol HD that is prescribed will vary depending on the individual and the severity of the ulcerative colitis being treated. Follow all your healthcare provider’s instructions for use and read packaging labels carefully to ensure the best therapeutic results. Do not take higher amounts than prescribed for longer than recommended.

  • Swallow tablets whole, do not crush or chew
  • Take on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating

  • Most adults take 1600mg three times daily for up to 6 weeks to treat moderately active UC
