NOCDURNA is a medication used to treat nocturia in adults who wake up at least 2 times during the night to urinate due to nocturnal polyuria.

Nocturia is a condition in which a person has to wake up at night to urinate. Nocdurna contains the active ingredient desmopressin, which is a synthetic version of vasopressin, a naturally occurring hormone that helps regulate the body’s water balance.

Nocdurna is the only rapidly dissolving sublingual tablet that treats nocturia due to nocturnal polyuria (NP) in adults who wake up at least 2 times per night. It was first approved for use in the US in 1978.

No. When taking this pill, limit your fluid intake as prescribed by your doctor because this can cause water accumulation leading to hyponatremia, which can cause serious health implications, such as convulsions.

It is best to avoid drinking fluids for one hour before and eight hours after taking this pill.

Can I take Nocdurna during pregnancy?

There is no adequate information that taking this medication can cause harm to your baby. If you are pregnant and have nocturia, discuss with your doctor if this drug is safe for you and your baby.
