Indications

Votrient is a cancer medication used to treat advanced kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) and soft tissue sarcoma (a type of tumour).

Pazopanib is a kinase inhibitor that prevents the growth and spread of cancerous cells in your body by affecting receptors in your vascular system and elsewhere. Thanks to these inhibitory actions, Votrient helps treat advanced kidney cancer and prevents soft tissue sarcoma from worsening by affecting cancerous cells.

The dose of votrient that is prescribed will vary depending on the individual and type of cancer being treated. • If you miss a dose, do not take it if you have less than 12 hours until your next dose
  • Adults should not take more than 800mg each day

Dose reductions due to reactions or impairments:

  • Adults should reduce their daily dose to 400mg when reacting to kidney cancer treatment
  • If reactions persist, doses can further reduce to 200mg taken once a day
  • If adults react to treatment for soft tissue sarcoma, their dose should reduce to 600mg daily
  • If patients continue to react, doses can reduce again to 400mg once a day
